Immigration Medical Exam For Australia

It takes 2-3 hours to complete the medical exam. Please note that you may arrive 5 minutes earlier than the scheduled appointment time. You do not need to arrive hour earlier as it only increase your waiting time.

Do not  leave our premises once you have received the Token no.

To reschedule your appointment please email us at: visamedreschedule@gmail.com with your passport details , intended date and reason for  reschedule. Please note that the system does not allow multiple entry of individuals so applicant should notify us before 2 days of scheduled appointment.

Please kindly note that we do not book appointments via email and phone calls.

 OPENING HOURS:

Our department is open from Sunday to Friday  between 9 AM  to 2 PM  for new  clients.

For follow up cases, please visit between 4:00 to 4:30PM  pm; Sunday to Friday.

 Required documents:

·         Original passport / Travel document.

·         Proof of confirm appointment document.

·         If you have received vaccine against Covid 19, please bring the proof viz vaccine card ( Hard/ soft copy)/ QR code  certificate issued by Ministry of Health and Population (MOHP).

·         Any previous chest x-ray, that you had done before.

·         Spectacles/contact lenses if you wear one.

·         E-medical generated referral letters i.e, HAP ID.

·         List of the current prescription of your medication/medical records of major operations or illness.

·         Photos and photo copies of passport are NOT required.

·         Please bring a shawl along with you ( for woman ).

 ·         For your medical examination, you do not have to come on an empty stomach.

WHAT TESTS ARE DONE DURING THE MEDICAL EXAM?

·         The tests performed will depend on your visa category.

·         Your HAP ID  referral letter will indicate what tests are necessary.

·         501 code - Includes medical examinati0n, urine routine  test  for all above 5 years of age.

·         502 code - Chest x-ray (above 11 years  of age).

·          705 - Serum Creatinine (Mandatory from 1st July,2023)

·         Blood tests where applicable.

·         Some children between 2-11 years may require TB screening test.

·         Panel physician may request additional tests as per the clinical requirement.

WHAT SHOULD BE DONE DURING THE IMMIGRATION MEDICAL EXAMINATION?

You should:

·         Collect a token.

·         Have  a photograph.

·         Register at the registration desk for e-Medical system.

·         ID check- referral letter, original passport  and declaration form.

·         Make the payment (we accept cash only).

·         Change into a gown.

·         Get a chest X-ray done.

·         Get a measurement of your height, weight, blood pressure and a vision test.

·         Give a blood sample.

Note: If you are pregnant chest x-ray is not recommended.

The physical examination starts from 12:00 PM, by the panel physician.

WILL I GET TO SEE MY MEDICAL REPORT / HOW IS THE REPORT SENT?

·         You do not have to collect any reports. Instead, you need  to send us an email at: visamedinfosheet@gmail.com with  your details ie. Full name, HAP ID. to obtain a proof of completed medical information sheet after 3-4 days. You can also use your  IMMIACCOUNT  to upload this information sheet to your visa application.

·         Your reports are forwarded electronically via e-Medical to the Department of Home Affairs within three working days in most cases.

·         If your examination or test results are abnormal, our panel physician will inform you immediately  after completion of examination.

·         If you require any further information regarding your medical examinations, please feel free to contact us.

DO I NEED TO UNDRESS FOR MEDICAL EXAMINATION?

·         As per the guidelines provided by Department of Home Affairs you will need to undress to your undergarments.

·         We provide gowns to both male and female candidates and every effort is taken to maintain their dignity. Only external physical examination is conducted.

·         We offer chaperone to all applicants. All children are examined in the presence of a guardian.

·         Individuals lockers are available for storage of personal items.

WHAT IF MY CHEST X-RAY SHOWS AN ABNORMALITY?

·         Sometimes, e-Medical can auto generate the further tests required depending on the abnormality.

·         Once your case is submitted, MOC (Medical Officer of the Commonwealth),  will review your case and advise you  if any additional tests are required. Theywill notify you via email.

WHAT ARE THE TESTS FOR TB?

·         TB is tested by examination of sputum (Authorized at IOM Laboratory, Baluwatar only).

·         This is done in two ways, through sputum smear and culture.

·         Kindly note that sputum culture for TB takes 8 weeks for the final report.

TB SCREENING FOR CHILDREN

·         Children between the age of 2 and 11 years may require a TB screening test if indicated.

WHAT ARE THE SCREENING TESTS FOR TB?

·         The gold standard test for screening of TB is IGRA - Interferon Gamma Release Assay. It  is a blood test. If indicated we refer you to reliable center to get this test done which is cost extra.

WHAT IF IGRA  TEST RESULT IS POSITIVE?

·         The child will need a chest x-ray.

CAN I GIVE FEED BACKS TO THE CLINIC?

·         If you are not satisfied with our service kindly contact our management/ panel physician. We will try to resolve the problem.

FRAUDULENT BEHAVIOUR

·         Any fraudulent activity will be reported directly to the Department of Home Affairs.

·         TRAVEL AND MOUNTAIN MEDICINE CENTER  has been aware  of the fraudulent activity being carried out in the name of arranging earlier appointments for AVS  service  in exchange for financial gains.

·         TMMC does not acknowledge such activities and will not be liable for damages incurred in pursuit of such approach. We would like to notify our clients to be wary of such ongoing fraud.
